This is the definitive DVD for Focus fans. Thijs van Leer is your host and guide in a wonderful journey featuring rare material from 1971 with the band improvising, rehearsing and refining material for the album which would become Moving Waves.

Also included are extended extracts from the Old Grey Whistle Tests in 1972 and 1973 which helped break Focus into the UK. From 1974 there is a rare concert film of the Hamburger Concerto era, in 1976 the short lived Philip Catherine line-up and there are excerpts from the "new Focus" the triumphal come back tour of the USA in 2002

The Old Grey Whistle Test

For those of you who don't remember the show "The Old Grey Whistle Test was one of the UK 's most influential live music shows. Launched in September 1971, it hosted performances from the world's foremost bands and performers. Throughout its seventeen-year run, The Old Grey Whistle Test pioneered live music television shows, unafraid of broadcasting some of the more raw, cutting edge performances and interviews, and introducing the nation to new bands who were later to become world-famous music legends.

FOCUS in VHS

Since I placed this page here, a lot of people contacted me asking where they can find FOCUS' videos for they acquire. Actually most of the e-mails that I receive lately has been on this subject, people from everywhere (Poland, France, Holland, USA, Brazil, etc...) want to buy FOCUS' videos!!! Unhappily I still don't know any place (real or virtual store) that sale this videos. Actually nor I know if such videos are in catalog.

FOCUS videosI know that even in Holland (FOCUS' homeland) it's difficult to get these tapes. Very sought has been 'FOCUS live at the Rainbow'. The most common among some fans are copies of presentations in television programs or recent documentaries. I hope somebody can contribute to this site and to supply some valuable information from where to find a place to buy videos and to help so many fans that desire for these recordings.
